Meg Smith-Mindell, LCSW, C-ASWCM
Meg Mindell, LCSW, C-ASWCM is the Founder and President of Halcyon Elder Care, LLC. Meg is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Advanced Social Work Case Manager. She is certified as a National Bereavement Counselor and is a member of the National Association of Social Workers. In addition, Meg is a member of the Aging Life Care Association and serves as Vice President for the New Jersey Chapter.
Meg is well known locally for her expertise in the field of aging. Her social work career includes roles in healthcare, hospice, and individual and family counseling. She has been an adjunct professor at Brookdale Community College, and provided continuing education seminars on topics such as “The Journey of Aging” and “Caregiving.” In addition, Meg facilitates grief counseling and caregiver support groups.
Meg serves on the Professional Advisory Board at Monmouth University School of Social Work and has been a speaker for the annual caregiver retreat, sponsored by the Monmouth County Office on Aging. Meg has been featured in the Wall Street Journal as an expert in her field. Meg serves as an Aging Life Care Professional to assist and guide families who are dealing with the oftentimes overwhelming journey of aging.

Dionne Carrion, RN-BC
Dionne Carrion, RN-BC is the Senior Care Manager at Halcyon Elder Care, LLC. She is a registered nurse and a certified medical- surgical nurse. Dionne has extensive nursing experience in various roles including ICU, medical/surgical, telemetry/cardiac care, neurology, long term acute care and home care. Dionne is a member of the Aging Life Care Association, for professional geriatric care managers.
“For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to be a nurse. I have a number of close family members who are nurses, so you can say nursing is in my DNA! I have always felt that nursing is what I am meant to be doing and find working with the aging population to be especially rewarding and fulfilling. Even after twenty years of working as a nurse, I still love the work that I do and am passionate about making a difference in the lives of my clients.”
Dionne is a compassionate and caring individual who brings a calming presence in the most stressful and emotional situations. For Dionne, being a part of the Halcyon team continues to be exciting and gratifying, both professionally and personally.
