Counseling and Psychotherapy

Aging and growing older brings us valuable wisdom and meaningful moments. Yet, it can also bring transition, isolation, unexpected challenges, and losses. Some older adults are faced with new illnesses and cognitive or physical challenges. There can be abrupt changes in living situations.

Older adults may be suffering from anxiety and depression resulting from these later life issues. Our therapists have specific training in understanding clients’ current situations and in providing them with the tools and support they need to adapt and move forward.

We visit clients for counseling sessions wherever they may be- in their homes, assisted living and nursing facilities and adult day care centers.

Our therapists also provide counseling and support for family members who are often required to take on new roles and reinvent old ones. We help them navigate through struggles with caregiving issues and shifting family dynamics, and feelings of anger, guilt, and loss.

Confidentiality and privacy are always respected.

“Meg is professional, knowledgeable, resourceful and caring. As both my brother and I live in California, having someone we trust nearby — to oversee my mother’s care providers and coordinate her medical care has been absolutely invaluable. Meg always goes the extra mile in looking after Mom’s best interests. Most importantly, Mom really likes and trusts her. She knows Meg is someone she can count on.”
